Props

Lectern
The lectern will be used for Fergus's speech in the performance aspect of the video . It gives the speaker something to make them look more dominant and adds realism to the speech.

Science Equipment
The science equipment such as the microscope and test tubes will be used in the scene to make the scene look realistic in the research scene of the video as it looks as if these instruments will help the scientist find a solution. This will be accompanied with a whiteboard covered with equations and chemical formulae to show background knowledge, representing the scientist as intelligent.

Costume

This costume will be used by Jake as a mad scientist. I believe this is suitable to the role because it is a common convention of the medical profession to wear and this is what Jake will be attempting to recreate.

This suit is going to be worn by Fergus in the scenes where he walks past the homeless man and when he is walking down the road and giving this speech. I chose this formal costume as it is relatively easy to source and looks formal suggesting he is of some role of importance, it will also show a juxtaposition to the homeless man costume.

This is an example of my costume idea for Jake as his role as a homeless man. This costume will be relatively easy to source and I strongly believe that the audience would clearly be able to identify him as a homeless man avoiding any confusion.

Actors

Jake is going to play a variety of different roles within this music video for example the homeless man and the mad scientist. Jake has acted in all of my media productions and has always had significant roles which he has carried out with perfection. He has a small build which I believe would make it more realistic for a homeless man as he would not look as well fed.




Fergus will be my main protagonist for the music video as he is part of the target audience for my music video so I feel he would be perfect to carry out this role. He is a very versatile person on camera and off being a keen rugby player which would give him a strong physique to look powerful in the video and he is also head boy at my school which also shows his intelligence and ability to adapt to different situations. He too has a variety of different styles of costume and I believe he will successfully be able to adapt to each role.

Recce

I am using this location of a road in Ringwood as it combines a variety of different aspects of modern society whilst allowing the star to walk down the middle making his presence known as the protagonist in this video. The long road will be used for the actor to walk down the middle singing the song until it gets to the junction at the end of the road where the second verse begins.
 The video will continuously revert back to this location as it is the main location throughout the video.

Another location where the scene with the homeless man is filmed is in my garden shed as the brown wooden colour and small space may seem realistic to my viewers as a shelter for somebody with little money although only one corner will be used for this.




The school hall will be used in my video as there is a lecture stand for the main character to do his speech on with a large seating area for crowds to watch it.



The final location is in a science lab at school. This will be used to show the mad scientist trying to find a solution and a loophole in order to gain money from people's financial donations.

Target Audience Avatars

Age 22:
He wears minimalist clothing because he is not too worried about how he looks, however his clothing is suitable for music events such as festivals. Messy hair and unshaven as he is following the trends of the indie punk music genre and has not shaved or brushed hair whilst being at a festival. Is at C1 on the ABC1 scale as they are lower middle class due to their income as working in a call centre.












Age 19:
She too wears minimalist clothing as unlike how society tells her to wear branded clothing she wears unbranded loose clothing which makes her more comfortable at music events. Like the typical listeners of indie/punk music she is part of a contemporary audience and therefore has dyed her hair platinum as she is not following traits of girls her age as she wants to be unique and individual. Although it is perhaps not shown through her costume she is from an affluent background and wears minimalist unbranded clothing she is from higher middle class and is working as an apprentice accountant
