This video is a performance based music video by Alana Morissette. The genre of the track is indie rock and this is supported by the costume and makeup worn by Morissette in the video as it has closeups of her face to capture her stern emotions and her long black hair, which is a common look for artists of this particular genre of music.
     The visuals have little to do with the music as the music video is performance based, therefore primarily showing the band and Alana singing it the video. However there are some connection between the two as the cuts have in places been made synchronous with the beat of the song engaging the audience with the song as well as the visuals.
     The artist has a very distinctive sound which could create a star image for the artist as her voice is unique and therefore giving her music a unique selling point. The star image has been created as the artist is continuously shown throughout the video portraying her as the most significant in this video. The speed of the shots in correlation to the song is at a similar pace which can engage audiences as they can keep up with both aspects of a music video. The song slows down at one point and the editing fits this perfectly and the lighting turns darker to fit the genre conventions of this genre of music.
